With Net.Storm inserted between two Ethernet segments in pass through mode, Net.Storm is able to insert impairments independently in either direction. Up to 16 separate flows can have impairments defined through the use of filters, each filter using different criteria including MAC, IP, TCP/UDP or User Mask.
Net.Storm has the ability to replicate complex network dynamics by means of modifying Bandwidth and QoS parameters. Net.Storm is an invaluable tool for IP equipment manufacturers, R&D departments, Network Operators, ISP and Triple Play service providers that test and verify a wide variety of projects.
Albedo Net.Storm is an FPGA based Network Emulator for generating IP/UDP/TCP impairments on GbE interfaces. Ideal for users who wish to engineer and test applications, devices and protocols to test their tolerance and operation when subjected to packet delay, jitter, loss, duplication, reordering, error and bandwidth variations.
Net.Storm can operate from an AC supply using the supplied AC/DC power supply and also on batteries only using the built in Li-Ion rcharageble batteries which provide up to 10 hours of operation
Due to the FPGA hardware in the Net.Storm it can introduce network impairments on traffic at full line rate creating up to 16 different simultaneous impairments
Net.Storm has dual Electrical and Optical Ethernet ports allowing Net.Storm to introduce impairments between two Electrical or Optical ports, or even between an electeical and optical port
