The KE2500 Telco Multimeter is designed specially for telephone pairs and allows and detailed line analysis and a complete overview of the physical state of the circuit under test.
Measurements of the critical electrical characteristics of the pair under test are presented in easy to read screens that combine all relevant information and quick access to alternative test configurations. The technician time required to complete any testing involving Voltage, Resistance, Capacitance, Insulation or Current is thus reduced to a minimum. Telco specific evaluations of Ground Return Resistance and Longitudinal Conversion Loss (LCL) and 1MHz are also included under the Multimeter feature set.
A complete evaluation of the loop under test can be quickly carried out and test results stored as a CSV file or transferred immediately by simply scanning a QR code presented on the screen.
Automatic measuring sequences can be created in the KE2500, which considerably simplifies the measuring procedures of the technicians in the field. In combination with the KE905 Remote, the necessary switch-overs at the remote end are automatically carried out, there is no need for another person and the measuring time is noticeably reduced.
The main advantage of xDSL is avoiding the installation cost of new cable. The approved maximum line length and the maximum sustained data transfer rate depends on the characteristics of the cable. Before installing a xDSL modem the properties and quality of the selected pair of wires should be proven to correspond to the demands of the chosen system. This is where the KE2500 excels, specifically designed for applications in telecommunications systems.
