KE7200 Ethernet Performance Tester

All the features of the KE7100

The KE7200 is the big brother to the KE7100 LAN Cable Tester and has all of the features of it's little brother plus a host of additional ones for active network testing and to allow documentation to be generated. This means the KE7200 includes Cable mapping and Fault finding features to identify mis-wiring, shorts and opens, split pairs cable length and external voltages. In addition PoE testing is enhanced to provide support for so called PoE++ with both version A and B PoE testing including Power up to 90W in accordance with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt. Of course the useful Port Blink and Trace Tone functions are also carried into the KE7200. A pair of KE7010 active remote units is supplied to enable the full range of tests with enhanced efficiency.

Testing Active Network Ports

The KE7200 enables active ports on 10/100/1000 Mbit networks to be tested and includes automatic network scan functions to list all found devices including IP address, MAC address and where available a Display Name allocated by the administrator. The Tester is capable of operating with either Fixed or Dynamic addresses (DHCP) and can even have it's own MAC address set to enable operation on restricted networks by emulating an enabled device.

Ping and Stress Testing

Targeted ping of individual addresses is supported with display of lost responses as well as min/max/average response times. The size of the ping frames may be set in the range 32 to 1024 bytes to change the characteristics of this test and transmission is made at the maximum permissable rate to simultaneously stress test all components.

Results Storage and Report Generation

Test measurements made with the KE72000 can be saved and exported to a PC which is running the KE Manager companion software. During testing simply save the results you wish to include in your report with a suitable indentification tag. The tag remains constant and a numerical entry after the tag is automatically incremented for each successive test result stored so re-entering the tag is only necessary when changing test location. Storage of approximately 1400 results is possible.
