KE801 Copper and Optical Cable & Line Tracer Kit

 

The KE801 Coper and Optical cable and line tracer kit allows technicians to find any kind of cable, wire and pairs and also to identify optical cables with it's built in Optical visual fault locator. The main units also indicates voltages on the cable, recognises the polarity and can be used as a continuity tester.

 

EasyTest720 / Probe410 can be used with all types of cables such as power cables, telephone cables, bell wires, all classes of data cables, coax cable, wire harnesses in motor vehicles and many others. The EasyTest720 generates six different search signal frequencies, three continuous tones and three alternating tones. Users select different tones by pressing keys on the unit, status is displayed with LEDs.

 

Each search signal can be fed on to live telecommunications lines. The device is protected up to 500 volts AC. All connection cables are provided with an effective strain relief. The strong alligator clips are isolated while the special RJ11 connector has a strain relief and can be plugged in RJ45 data sockets without damaging the contact thanks to additional contact guides for PIN 1 and 8.

 

The EasyTest 720 contains a high power Fiber Optic Fault Locator. It is easy to use and provides a universal jack for most connectors with a 2.5 mm Ferrule. It can be used to check Singlemode and Multimode optical fibers and other fiber optic components for faults. In the Laser Mode it is possible to send a modulated audible frequency from 270 Hz and 1 kHz in either Continuous Wave or Pulse Mode. Using a power meter with a demodulation feature on the far end it is possible to detect the modulated light with the used frequency visible in the display.

 

The battery compartment is separated from the electronics and equipped with a captive screw. The signal receiver Probe410 detects the search signal without any contact to the wire under test up to a distance of 0.6 meter. This allows for the precise location of the cable path in thick bundles of cables, in walls or flush-mounted, and pair of wires in the distribution or in the bundle.

 

The Probe410 has a green signal LED with filter function, this LED will only light up when used with the 1 kHz signal of the EasyTest. This makes locating cables easy in noisy environments or in distribution boxes with interfering signals such as 50 Hz. The built-in white LED provides an illumination capability allowing users to find cables and identify wire colours in dark environments. The rugged, high-resistive test tip constructed out of non-conductive solid carbon fiber is easily replaceable.

 

The Kit comes with a solid belt pouch with enough space for the Easytest and Probe  as well as the earpiece and the user manual.
