The FHO5000 is an advanced OTDR and multi-function fiber optic tester specially designed for outdoor jobs with IP65 protection. The product is lightweight with easy to use operation, has a low-reflection LCD with touch-screen, and more than 12 hours working operation.
A highly integrated platform that features four module slots, large 7-inch colour touch-screen option) and high-capacity Lithium-Ion battery. The FHO5000 comes as standard with a visual fault locator (VFL), an optional microscope (through universal serial bus [USB] port), and built-in optional power meter, and laser source, making it ideal for installation, turn-up, and maintenance of FTTx/Access optical networks.

VFL (Visual Fault Locator) - The VFL is included as standard in the
FHO5000 series OTDR, and offers built-in 650nm visual fault location on a FC/UPC connector.
PM (Power Meter) - An optional built-in power meter is available allowing technicians to easily verify and measure optical signals.
LS (Lower Source) - An optional laser source through the OTDR1 Port allows technicians to easily verify the total loss of the local network with a power meter.
FM (fiber microscope) - The optional fiber inspection probe facilitates the Inspect Before the connection. FHO5000 series OTDR offers this capability through a USB port connection, which allows quick and easy i n s p e c t i o n o f c o n n e c t o r e n d f a c e s f o r contamination and also enables it capture and store the image.
A maximum testing range of up to 150km is possible (when using Grandway’s FHS2D02 Optical Laser Source with the FHP2A04 Optical Power Meter).
